In the graph you see the range of heating temperatures for three different cooling systems and the corresponding different cooling temperatures:

The SolarFrost Icebook can consequentely be used for a wide range of applications that can be divided into the following main groups:

 

  • Aircondition (> 15°C)
  • Storage of food (~ 2 bis 12°C)
  • Freezing of food (~ - 5 bis - 20°C)

    •  

Each of these applications requires a complete system with the Icebook as core piece. Generally the complete system consists of the following components:

 

  1. SolarFrost Icebook
  2. Solar thermal system
  3. Buffer storage
  4. Back cooling system
  5. Thermal insulation of the room that shall be cooled
  6. A system to distribute the cold in the building
  7. Backup System for times with no solar radiation

These components can vary according to the different application. The drawing below shows exemplary the components for a refrigeration cold store.
