RETROSPECT | THE CYLINDER MACHINE

We succeeded to put all the essential parts of a SolarFrost bypass machine into a cylinder, the most compact form. Only the outside cylinder was welded to keep the pressure inside. All other parts were built by five concentric tubes, sealed with rubber gaskets. This design was supposed to allow simple assembly, needed no prefabricated heat exchangers nor was it necessary to weld complicated tubular heat exchangers.

The Cylinder Machine was our last development of a diffusion absorption cooling machine as these machines are very bulky and have a low efficiency.
